Hi everyone! :)
This week there have been some changes in our daily lives. It s been a few problems with the apartment that we live in now, refrigerator and the freezer has been the biggest problem. And since we live in Argentina are all very long time, and they "always comes back about 20 minutes to fix it", which has taken them several weeks instead. We have been told that everything is going slowly realize that in this country to normal, but now that it's the holidays, one can only imagine ..
After a few views on other apartments, we have found our dream home and move in there on March 1. As soon as we went in to look at it, we got a feel-good and we just HAD to have it. Since it lies in the street we were going to live in, we felt that it was meant for us! :)
We have also started and work out !!!!! It bangs on the stairs in this apartment complex and we fly through the streets as people become completely speechless! hehe almost certainly ..
On Tuesday, we tested the Argentine tango, and we have now been completely saved! It was a late night, and dancing did not stop until after 6 hours!! so the next two days were a lot of weird walking and feet full of blisters, but it had been there! Tonight it's án again;)
Yesterday we took a trip Wednesday to the second place we will be working, which is about an hour outside of BA and called Berazategui. There is "La Casita", a place where children and young people can come after school to play, learn English and enjoy themselves. The place was opened by the church for a few years ago, but they have nothing there. There are no toys, paper, pens, nothing. If we want to initiate any activities we must raise money to afford to buy it necessary for the activities. It's not like the SFO in Norway where it has a wide range of games, etc, kids are going to have to find things that do not require any equipment. The children are absolutely fantastic and we have noticed a big difference in people outside the city, and those who live in Buenos Aires. In Berazategui there comes a calm, poor but still a fantastic environment. It's absolutely wonderful to see how the people appreciate what they have and when we came to the house were 30 excited children and took us with open arms. Purpose of the meeting yesterday was to get acquainted with the children and those who worked there, and to plan English lessons which begins this coming Tuesday. Louise and Caroline got a group of 10 children between 9 and 13 years as we have English lessons for 2 hours a day every Tuesday and Thursday. This takes place in a house "La Casita" has been assigned by the government and now stands completely empty. We have also been commissioned to find out what this empty place can be used, so we shall meet next Friday to discuss various ideas. Before the English lessons, we will be "La Casita" with their children, and afterwards we go to the other house where we have English with some other children. The project works incredibly exciting and we can not wait to get started!
Today Louise goes to a family member four hours outside the city, where she will be over the weekend. It will be interesting to see if Caroline manage alone without his roomie! ;)
Hasta la vista!
