Then we come to our apartment which is situated on a very nice area in Palermo:)
Previous week was last week of English lessons, and now we only speak English! ;) Tuesday, January 25, we went to a place Once called to act in a little apartment! We bought new bedding, towels, duvet and toaster. Bar all homes in nearly 40 degrees, into the packed sub, went off on the wrong stop, so we had to walk another 3 km before we were home! Puuh! But we got a really nice and comfortable bed:)
Then came Friday, when it was the home of a empanadas, Christian (responsible for cultural studies). EXTREMELY HAPPY! We arrived earlier so we could help to make it, so now we are champions. We were also aware of two very cute little girls who will go on the school we will begin working on next week.
On Saturday, it was time for sightseeing. We bought just as well 24 hour bus pass and put us at the top of the bus with headphones, dressed in bikinis. Drove through a lot of nice and interesting places, so now we have a little more overview of what exists. We found that Buenos Aires is a very green city amidst all the skyscrapers. In the evening we had our first Vors in the apartment with the girls who were very successful.
Sunday it was bad weather, so we kept most indoors and read a little English)
All the other girls from the hostel has been moved to host families and seems very happy. On Monday we visited their site, Ricoleta, not far from us. Very nice!
Today, Tuesday we had our first day on the job Pecohue, a farm located about 45 minutes from where we live. It is our job and help on the farm, and help mentally unstable people to socialize easily and how they should be able to fend for themselves. We were met with Mate, Argentine national drink. We were then put to work in the middle of the field to weed weeds, fight social and very fun. The problem was that we saw almost no difference those who worked as us, and those who were mentally unstable. Here, they speak only English, so now it's just trial and error! :)
After work we would inform us a little in the area, Palermo. We went almost 2 hours, and found all the places that we would know which was very educational! :) In the evening we went to Chinatown to meet the rest of the gang, where we met some new volunteers who arrived today, very good food and very cheap! We ate for a total of 60 NOK, bulk ink tips:) On Sunday, Chinese New Year's Eve, so we decided to eat dinner there today.
Saludos!
